Download counter not working

Each extension page includes a download counter… but for the past couple of days the number has remained stubbornly at zero for every extension.

After working out that it wasn't a wikidot caching problem, I started thinking that it must be a bug in STE, so I went digging through the code and came up with nothing out of the ordinary. Then I turned on a few extra error messages and picked up a familiar message from Wikidot:

Sorry, you can not create a new page in this category. Only site administrators and perhaps selected moderators are allowed to.

Turns out I had changed the permissions on the site and STEBot wasn't allowed to notify the site that there had been a download.

It's been fixed now, and you should see the download counter steadily increase over time.

Thanks to bcammo, Ed Johnson and MDesign does not match any existing user name for the extensions that they have created so far. Every single one of them is top quality and I'm sure most STE users can appreciate how useful they are. Well done!

Thanks to bcammo, Ed Johnson and MDesign for the extensions that they have created so far. Every single one of them is top quality and I'm sure most STE users can appreciate how useful they are. Well done!
